Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you register for the Founding Members Session, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to run the session well.
1.Who we are
This website is run by The Unfair Advantage Network, the organiser of the Founding Members Session hosted by Lee Taylor. We are the controller of the personal data you give us here, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for looking after it under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
For any question about this policy or your data, email lee.taylor@ajt.business.
2.What we collect
When you register for a session, we collect:
- Your details: full name, email address and, if you give it, your mobile number.
- Your business: business name, type of business, the town or city you serve, and optionally your website or Google Business Profile link and your Instagram or TikTok handle.
- Your answers: your biggest challenge getting found online (optional), whether you want your business considered for a live audit, and whether you want marketing emails.
- Booking details: the session you chose and the date and time you registered.
- Technical information: your browser type (user agent), the page you came from, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source=instagram), so we know which channels bring people to the session.
If paid tickets are in use, payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
3.How we use your data and why
- To manage your booking: reserving your seat, sending your confirmation, joining link, reminders and the replay. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- To run the live audits: if you opt in, Lee Taylor may review your business's public online presence during the session. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw before the session.
- To shape the session: reading the challenges attendees share so the content is useful. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To send tips and future event updates, only if you ticked the box. Lawful basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand our marketing: counting which channels bring registrations. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To keep records we need for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
5.During the live session
The session is recorded so attendees can watch the replay. Your name and anything you share in the chat may be visible to other attendees and may appear in the recording. If you prefer, you can change your display name or keep your camera off.
If your business is chosen for a live audit, we will only look at information that is already publicly available, such as your website, Google Business Profile, reviews and social media.
6.How long we keep it
- Booking records: for up to 6 years after the session, to meet accounting and legal requirements.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Session recordings: for as long as the replay is offered to attendees.
7.Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where we no longer need it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example to marketing emails or a live audit.
To use any of these rights, email lee.taylor@ajt.business. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
9.Keeping your data safe
Your data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. Only people who need it to run the session can access it.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
